Hypnotherapy alters behaviour by communicating directly with the subconscious mind. The subconscious is the part of the mind that controls our unconscious behaviours and stores our belief patterns. The brain stores all your learned behaviours and habits in the subconscious part of the mind like a big filing cabinet.
We all function using the subconscious mind for about 90% of the day. Very little of what we do each day is done using the conscious mind. Everything that you do without having to be intently focused on it is done via the subconscious mind, your work, driving, exercise, shopping, daily routines, eating habits etc.
